In order to succeed, and to be eligible to receive the course certificate, participants are required to:
- Submit all given tasks on time
- Participate in all parts of the hands-on project
- Pass the ISTQB test
- Attend at least 80% of the meetings
Course structure
The IT retraining course is made up of formal lectures and practical workshops. During the course there will be a guided project in software testing which will progress its lifecycle as we go along the topics. The project requires about 100 hours of self-study by participants, and enables participants to practice the lecture material hands-on in a real scenario. Along the IT retraining course there will be guidance meetings with the lecturer in order to direct students during implementation.
The project will include producing a test strategy and plan documentation, test case design, test execution, incident reporting, and a test completion report.
Certification and Exams
ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualification Board), the first international organisation for certifying software testers.
If you see yourself as a professional software tester, and want to be internationally accredited for it, you have to take the ISTQB Certified Tester exam.
